Default Some of my quilts from the past year

I'm going to try to get some pictures on here of some quilts I've done in the past year. Some I don't have pix of yet. The pink and zebra was given to a girl at church that was doing her nursery in hot pink and zebra print. Since the pink binding and the pink flannel were from the same manufacturer and were supposed to be the same color but weren't so I put a small zebra print flange on the back between them.
The beige and brown with the pink and purple applique is a quilt I made and donated for our local Relay for Life team to raffle off. Pink and purple are the RfL colors. It's a large couch throw. And since I'm such a poor quilter it was professionally done.
The red and blue one's colors don't turn out right in the photo. The background looks too orange and it really isn't.
I was given the fabrics and blocks after a friend passed away. Her son wanted me to make a quilt with them for her isister. None of the blocks were the same size, none had the same number of logs, and there weren't enough to make a quilt with. Since I really had to work to make the blocks fit without taking them apart and remaking them and since they're log cabin blocks, I called this quilt "Urban Renewal". I also called it ugly but his aunt loves it. She said that when she needs a hug from her sister she just wraps up in it.

Nice job on Urban Renewal. I'd never notice the difference in the blocks unless I really looked for it. What a special gift for her sister! I love the RFL quilt. The flower in the center is just the right accent for the geometric design. My DGD would snap up the zebra and pink quilt in a heartbeat. Beautiful quilts, all of them!
