    I have often thought of putting a border on my rag quilts but thought it might be kind of hard to deal with. How did you do that? did you put the batting and the back on each strip then sew it on? IF so did you quilt it before or after sewing on the border.

    Hi Patty44. I put the jean squares and backing (in this case I used flannel material) together, sewed the squares together. I then cut strips the length of the quilt and sewed them to the top, bottom and sides.

    I hope this explains it clearly. If not, ask away :)
