    The chests are beautiful! I can remember when just about every family had a cedar chest, and it was unusual if they didn't. I have had one for many years. While It is not as beautiful as yours, I cherish it. Thanks for sharing.

    John, they are beautiful. My mother had one which I had hoped to be the next owner, however a half sister got ahold of it. But I do have the memories of always digging through everything that was in it. Thanks for sharing.

    Good point on oil finishes. I figured you knew what you were doing, since you make the quilts also. you know everything there is to making the storeage to keep them safe.yup you guessed it once married to a man who like to build things,once redid my whole kitchen.
