I've been wanting to make this Carpenter's Star for a couple of years now and I finally did it. It's not difficult at all. The exciting part is............I'm getting a Gammill Longarm machine by mid next month. I'm going to have to do some practicing before I finish this quilt. Does anyone else have a longarm that might want to give me some tips?

Beautiful!! I love the colors--and the scrap first border. :D I don't have a long arm--but boy could I use one. I'm helping to pay off my quilter's though.

I have a friend who is a professional long arm quilter, and I don't think she would mind offering advice. You can get Claire's email through her website, bellaquilting.com Tell her Wendy sent you.

    Good Luck!

I love your quilt and the fabric/colors you chose. I must make one for my son, seeing that he dabbles in carpentry. Thanks for sharing.

I just noticed that your Profile picture is the quilt that I decided (this afternoon) to post as my profile picture. I made this quilt many years ago and it has always been my favorite. I have it hanging over my TV. It was my second attempt at applique. Love your profile picture quilt and your big quilt. You did a wonderful job on both.
