Default "Something in the Middle" Changeable Theme Quilt

I designed this quilt patten to work for any number of seasons or occasions. The 4" center of each block is easily changed to hearts, flags, stars, 4 patch, or any applique piece you like such as flowers, butterflies, cupcakes, Christmas trees, pumpkins, etc. I made this one with flags and stars.
I hope you like it. Peggy

hOW DO YOU CHANGE THE MIDDLE TO ANOTHER THEME?

LOVE WHAT YOU HAVE DONE WITH THE FLAGS BUT AM CONFUSED AS TO HOW TO CHANGE MIDDLE. IS THIS A BED QUILT OR A WALL HANGING?

The quilt is 60" x 79" which could easily be made larger by adding more blocks. The pattern includes instructions for a pieced 4" star, heart, flag, or 4-patch that could go in the block centers. If you like to applique you could put anything you want in the 4" center of each block. For instance if you wanted a girly quilt you could make it in pastels or bright pinks and put pieced hearts and appliqued flowers or butterflies in the blocks. If you wanted a Christmas quilt you could do it in reds and greens and put pieced stars and appliqued trees in the centers. Really the possiblities are endless. I hope that has cleared up the confusion for you. Have a lovely weekend. Peggy

I was really confused. It sounded to me like the middle of each star could be taken off and a new theme put in the star.

Thanks for clearing this up for me.
