Default Something for my dear husband and I!

My husband is so supportive of my quilting! This summer I was determined to make a new quilt for our bed. I chose a braid from Quilt in A Day ( psst it took much longer than a day). I am really pleased with the colors I chose and I made pillowcase to coordinate! This was also the first wool batting that I ever used, and it was very nice to machine quilt on the Baby Lock Jane that DH gave me for our anniversary. It measured 113 x 115 - DH loves it too.

Love the colours. Any chance of a close up of the pillow as it is too dark on my iPad to see.

Love those colors! You did a beautiful job. Pillowcases are a good idea. Braids are on my to do list. Been thinking of MSQC since I have the half hexie templates from there and she shows how to do braids. Did you use a jelly roll for the braids?

I imagine with that thin brown border you did not have to stay stitch the edges of the braids.

He is one lucky man. Love that quilt pattern and the wool batting will be so snuggly some Fall. Hugs to you as you both sleep well.
