New Year's Resolution #1: Clean up the sewing room. Done! So I got to play. Can you relate to these signs I made for the newly cleaned & somewhat decorated room? I can & that's why I made them! LOL

New Year's Resolution #2: Learn how to use the Viking Designer 1 that I bought 2nd hand 1 1/2 yr. ago & never turned on until today. Worked with it today & while learning how to play with some of the decorative stitches, I decided to work on the Jan. block from Oregon Patchworks with the strips I was using (I don't waste anything). This is a scrappy BOM so it fits in with New Year's Resolution #3: Use stash & scraps this year, buy very little fabric. Anyway, here's a pic of it, too. New Year's Resolution #4: work on UFO's...that will come soon, too.

A yardstick that was my Dad's, he sewed, Mom didn't

I embroidered the frame...I mostly don't abide by the rules!

WORKED & played--BOM with decorative stitching pieces

PLAYED...her dress is from the very 1st quilt I made about 5 years ago, her hat & jumper is from some upholstry material my girlfriend gave me when she redid her dining room chairs & I made placemats for her table with it
