I love the quilt on the wall too.

When we moved from the central Oregon coast (Newport) my quilting friends each made a block and some of them, two, and made a quilt for me as a going away gift. The name of this block is something like "beach house" because we had a house overlooking the ocean. I love, love, this quilt and reminds me of my friends there. (I really miss them) It's really fun because I can tell, for the most part, who made which blocks because of their personalities I got to know spending time with them.

Here is a picture of the whole quilt.

It is a wonderful quilt. I was raised in South Beach, which you know is the little burg south of the bridge.

Gorgeous quilt. Thanks for showing the tip about the binding too, I always get mine tangled around my feet. Hey, we must be pretty close neighbors from your location.

Beautiful quilt! I'm sure you miss Newport - I've visited there and it is beautiful. But as I have found as my husband and I have lived in the Pacific NW, then L.A. area, Houstan area and now Missouri, each place has its own charm.
