    Default Southwest Swoon

I love the Southwest...but live Midwest. On a recent trip to Denver I went shop hopping with a friend who gave me the tour. As soon as I saw this fabric, ( Timeless Treasures Painted Ponies) I knew that it would fly home in my carry-on. Added cork fabric for the trim...turquoise rivets...done

I also picked up a kit for a Southwest quilt.

I really like your bag! So many interesting features are made into it. I am curious about the cork fabric. It seems to be popping up in several applications. Your bag is sure to bring lots of compliments.

Thank you! Cork fabric is wonderful to work with. The needle just sews through it like butter! I am hooked. MM Cork Supply on Facebook retails it. As do quilt shops ..if you can find it in shops. Don't let the price per yard scare you. This this 3rd cork purse I have made! I still have plenty of cork left from my initial purchade of the yard of teal silver flecked cork left. I purchased a smaller piece of the orange from a local quilt shop. Pretty sure I did not need a yard of it. I bought it with this project in mind.

Your bags are always so amazing & better than professional. I love all the details you include which keeps them from looking "homemade". Thanks for sharing.
