41 yrs ago my best friend had a baby and gave him up for adoption.12yrs ago he wrote a letter to catholic social services requesting to meet her. The meeting took place. There has been ups and downs but all is working out with there relationship. 5yrs ago his adopitive father died and 2 yrs ago his adoptive mother died. She was not a quilter but had made a quilt for him and his other adopted sister. When his mom was 41 she had a baby of her own and on her death bed ask him if he would have a quilt made for her. Well ,last fall he asked me and proceeded to bring over a container of stuff. There was a sweatshirt in this container that had a bunch of girl scout badgers on it.I guess she went all the way to the top and her mom was at her side. I have done 5 of these quilts.(memory quilts of lost family members).I just wanted to share this with all of you. Thanks for looking.Sue P.S after looking at the quilt for 2 mins he went to the bathroom.Came back 5min later with tears and red eyes.

Girl scout fabric I purchased for this quilt. After I got the fabric he then says to me ,I don't want this to be all girl scout stuff. He loved all the fabric.

The fabric with the badges on it was the fabric his mom was going to use.So I went ahead and used it.
