Everyone has one quilt like that, i do too, and when it happens, just not worth beating up over :) You will do with it what you feel best, and that will be good. Is it fixable?

I think all kids should learn how to sew. Not just sewing on a button, but I mean SEW! You know, back when Home Ec WAS Home Ec?
They just don't teach it anymore :(

If I had a son, you can bet your butt I'd be teaching him how to sew. I know a few "manly" sailors that sew and they do a pretty good job. One even has a long arm...<pout> Just wished he lived closer.
I think more men should come out of the "sewing closet" and show what they can make.

I think it's great your son is interested in it. yes, they want it to hurry and get done, my daughter does the same. One reason why she gave up on her crumb block quilt she was making. I just put all the pieces in baggies and she'll get back to it sooner or later.
Tell your son that there's nothing wrong with wanting to learn.
