    I checked the website, $7 postage seems high when the pattern is only $9. Is that normal in US?

    For me, the hardest part was trying to figure it out from reading the instructions. I'm a "hands-on" learner. That's why I started with scraps from my stash so I could pitch it if it didn't turn out right. Once I got the hang of it, it wasn't hard at all. The instructions were very good. I never figured out the string piecing, but just sewed on 1 piece at a time. Probably not as efficient, but easier for me to understand.
