Spicy Swirl Table Runner-Had to Try It!
#1
Here's my version of the "Spicy Spiral Table Runner" that I've seen others post about. I liked it so much, I had to give it a try myself!
Now I think I'll make a few for Christmas gifts too. :D

Wow you did a great job on that!! Love your fabrics! Would love to have a go but haven.t found anywhere in UK selling pattern! I have found a source for the ruler (but it.s out of stock!!!) Frustrating!!

That's beautiful! Did you have the pattern? I didn't but made one anyway. My curves turned out much bigger.
I don't have a picture of it done and don't have it here to take one but I'll try to post a picture before quilting and binding. I bound mine with the turquoise center fabric. I'd be interested to know how to get the small curves that tiny.

I found the pattern at the LQS, but they still haven't gotten the ruler in stock, so I made 10 degree templates for each strip out of posterboard (and saved about $25 in the process). I thought the pattern instructions were a bit confusing for my very visual way of thinking, so I ended up referring to pictures, cutting each "strata" separately instead of stacked, and then sewing them together the way that made sense to me. I know there's a method to the instructions, but I was having a hard time following it, and will re-write them for my own use!
It was a fun project and I'm off to the store later today to buy some "purples" for one for my DDIL!

Also, I didn't use regular binding, just sewed the top with batting and the backing right sides together and turned it instead. I don't think I'd want to try binding the tiny inside curves on mine!
Love your colors by the way!
