Spinning Diamonds Table Topper
#22
I went and bought the magazine this a.m. and I started one already. Mine won't be as large as the one in the magazine as my table is not that big. I've got the middle done and starting to work on the Y seam and it's the first time doing it. Have a great day, Huggies, Fay

I have been looking and looking at that page in my McCall's, but I like yours even more!! It's beautiful. I thought about making it with Christmas fabric. Was it very difficult? That month's magazine has a lot of pretty projects that I want to make.

:D :D :D I didnt find it hard to do at all. Here's mine, but i don't have any striped fabrics and I tihnk this is still too large for my table, but hey! It can be used as a medallion for a center of the big quilt. Have a look.
Sorry the picture is dark

No it's not terribly difficult. just Y seams to contend with.
and it doesn't have to have stripes either. just change the silly name. my diamonds don't really spin either. the mag had black and cream print for the center diamonds that made it look like it was spinning.
I'm working on backing now. an ugly octagon made with wedges of the striped fabric with strips around it to make it larger.
