Sports quilt block for friend's coach
A friend asked if I would be willing to make a block for her high school coach, who is making a quilt. The coach's goal is to get a block from as many of her students as possible. This would be hundreds, if not thousands of blocks!
Anyway, the friend designed a block on her computer....a cute little figure, reminiscent of Lego people; with a soccer ball for the head, and jumping a hurdle (representing track & field).
I've blocked out her name, for privacy reasons.
It was a fun project, thanks to her having the design figured out for me in advance; and thank goodness I was able to find a readymade soccer ball applique!
