    Its a stunning quilt. Your Aunt will be so thrilled. I know I would be a flood of happy tears if that quilt was gifted to me.

    My Aunt is a special woman--I have not seen her in over 30 years, but think of her often, we (see) each other on facebook on occassion, an occassional card- she has no idea this is on it's way to her- she has had a fairly stressful year- and just moved. while i was working on this quilt i often thought about her- for no real reason, and when i was working on the binding i decided that it should be hers- so sent it off. i do not even know how she feels about quilts- but this one did make me think it was (her style) she's *70-something* my mom's next in line sister & when i was a teenager/young adult she was a favorite. she should receive it tomorrow...

    Absolutely breathtaking! I can't imagine how many hours went into the applique, and the quilting is spectacular!
