Spring/Easter table topper
#36
Well Barbara Lee, I will do my best. I started to follow a pattern from the book Simply Charming Collection, but changed my mind part way through.
I started cutting my FQ's into 5 inch squares. Then cut 2 inch squares for the flower centers, placing one 2inch square on each 5 inch square, sewing it across, trimming and pressed it. Then I cut 2 3/4inch squares of a background colour and placed it in the opposite corner, sewed across, trimmed and pressed. If I were to have followed the pattern totally, then you would place another 2 3/4 inch square on the next corner, and it would create what looks like the petal of a flower when joined to three more units.
I only did the one corner, that's why they look like circles, and not flowers. Join the units 3 X 3, here the pattern calls for a narrow border and a wider border, but I didn't do that either. Sandwich, quilt and bind. Voila.
Hope this helps you!
