    Default Squaredance....quilted by Charisma

    I bought a new template from Loricles...called squaredance.
    I have a few scrappies thanks to the scrappy trade...Huntannette pieced this one for me..she is a fabulous piecer....and she made several because she was just so dedicated to using every single scrap of material! Pretty amazing!
    I decided this quilt would look good with the square dance design....I am pretty happy with it. I like to do a practice run with new designs before I try them on a customer quilt..this design is pretty forgiving as far as lining up and using the template. Then you just have to find your groove and keep a steady hand...I have shared this before but I do most of my work freehand or with rulers...so following lines and using a template is kind of like my Kryptonite (sp?) as my boys would say. LOL. I am not very good at it...but I will practice until I get it.

    Thanks so much for looking!

    Default Square Dance

    That pattern is called Square Dance???? Doesn't look at all like any other pattern I've seen with that name. Most interesting. Whatever, you did a wonderful job. The Twister pattern that is all the rage now, was originally called square dance. A member of our guild brought a book with her from way back in the 40s I believe, with that pattern.

    Nita in Wisconsin - NOT Michigan

    Addendum: Went back and re-read the original post and I finally decided you called the DESIGN you stitched Square Dance and not the quilt pattern itself. Some days, the elevator doesn't always go to the top. :-}
