    Default Squirrel Block

I generally don't post one block at a time, but I'm so pleased with how this squirrel turned out, I wanted to share it I hope you don't mind.

I'm thinking of fabric painting the eye, as I'm not good enough at machine embroidery to make it work perfect. This is my first time appliquing with a fusible webbing and I love the satin stitch finish.

The quilt will be for my new unborn baby, due in September. As I am stitching this I am thinking of the wee bundle (Okay, I'm in nesting mode already!)

You could just put a satin stitch in a crescent shape for the eye and it would be done too. Pretty easy since you have all that practice already. By the way, congratulations on your soon to be baby and your little squirrel is cute!
