    Fun idea, and I cannot believe I’ve never heard of St Nicholas Day since my husband is Polish. He has never heard of it either. I may do this next year if I remember— introduce it to my grandtwins who will be 2 then.

    What an awesome tradition and you made such a nice little gift that will mean a lot to him. When in a pinch you certainly came thru with a great gift. Hope you feel better soon

    Quick thinking! Nice job and it looks great! I too am polish. When my Kids were very young they had an avent bag and received little items everyday of advent but on St. Nicholas day the present was left in their shoe and they found it quickly. My girls also did polish dance for 5 years and got pretty good at that. They were able to learn many traditions along the way. I don't think they do many if any of the things we did with them. I still do St, Nicholas day with DH. he got socks this year. hehehe. One thing they do however is home make porigi.
