    Default St Patrick's Day projects

It occurred to me a couple of weeks ago that I have no Irish/St Patrick's appropriate quilted items. With the maiden name of Burke, this is unacceptable. I don't know how I've gotten by with this oversight for so many years. I found a remnant of a shamrock print for inspiration. The runner is a pattern in the Winter 2011 edition of McCalls America Loves Scraps magazine. It is a fun stack and slash technique. I had a couple of leftover blocks that I made into a mug rug. Now I'm ready for March 17th.

I love it. I need to get a table runner together before I find the infamous soda bread recipe. I just love St. Patrick's Day to embrace my heritage and all that green, reminds me that Spring can't be far behind ind the northeast.
