This quilt will go a long way to warming up a modern livingroom. What a sweet thing you have done for her. She must be a lovely person for you to spend so much of your time making this for her.

The batiks were a great choice for this coins quilt! You made it beautiful.

I am doing a quilt just like this one "Chinese Coin" and the batik columns are 6 1/2. My pattern calls for the black columns to be 3 1/2, I want to widen them to 5 inches so I can use a specific quilting template. Does anyone think that would look stupid?

Nice quilt, I like the colors you used. I had two batik jelly rolls with all the brights and didn't have a clue what to do until I saw that pattern last week and picked it up.

That is very pretty. I'm sure she will love it. I love batiks! Haven't seen a bad one yet.

I got the pattern for the quilt from a Jelly Roll book. Sounds like the same measurements I used. I don't think increasing the colums to 5 inches would be noticeable at all! I just did about 6 straight lines of quilting down the columns to keep it very modern looking, but a beautiful quilting template would look awesome!
