Well, this Friendship Star mini was a complete accident but I loved the way it turned out! The wonky HST border was my own idea and were the only blocks I actually made. All the other HST's in the mini were from premade HST's of many years ago that I no longer have the fabrics of they are that old!!

The 2nd mini is another Friendship Star! I liked it so well that I did another one the same day in softer pastels even though the camera shows them somewhat brighter than they are. It's the 1st time I have ever completed 2 minis in one day.

The 3rd mini is a Kaleidoscope that is still in the works. I wanted to show this mini as some of you were interested in knowing how I would finish using the numbers in scrap quilts from a vintage calendar I recently redid. Here's that link in case you missed it:

Hope you are inspired and challenged from quilting accidents turned into something happy! :D :D

the month of June was used

    July was used

April was used and how ironic that the 15th had to show up real bright and big! lol!

My son wanted the month of May block and his BD embroidered in red thread and circled since May 23 is his BD. So the months are being used up!

Hi n2--Just saw this! Fship blocks are a fav; like the subtle black frame in the 1st one, tho like the definition in the 2nd one. And the K blocks!!The secondary designs are just fabulous! G

Thank you so much, G!! K block mini is my fave! I focused on the secondary patterns emerging when putting it together!

The first mini is 13 x 13 and the last 2 are exactly 14 x 14. The wonky HSTs were fun to do! Anything involving no pattern, no rules, and no measuring is fun and free feeling! And I love just grabbing the size scrap you need from the bag and sewing! It's a must try! Thank you, Jennifer22206!!! :D :D ;) ;)
