    Karla, it's coming along great!
You are doing a fantastic job and can't wait to see it all done.
As for the girlfriend....she seems like a really special person and you are both lucky to have each other in your lives.

Oh, stop. It's nothing each one of you wouldn't do.

They had been going out for awhile before I made her something. I would always wait to see if it's something that would last. From how much he liked her before they dated--I had a feeling this one would last awhile. And these are wall hangings--not quilts. If they stay together a few more years, I'll have to make her a quilt. :D

I did ask Justin if he has plans for after college graduation--at least 2 yrs off. He said to get a job. I asked if he thought about marriage and at this time did he think Jenny was the one he'd marry? He said he didn't know. I was surprised by that answer. Jenny told me, too, they do not discuss the future together. They've seen friends to it and it destroys their relationship. I remember Justin told me when he asked Jenny if she wanted to date--he said he does not want to talk about marriage at all. So... I told him I was proud of him for being mature about it. I was surprised though. So is Justin's sister.

Justin teaches us as much as we have ever taught him. His favorite Bible verse has always been "Man looks at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart." You see, Jenny is a beautiful girl, and she's very overweight. Justin sees past that (although he'd like it if she lost weight.). When I learned he was going to ask her to date, I said "She's a big girl, Justin." His response was "But, Mom, she has the most wonderful personality." I told him we would love who he loves because we trust his judgment. He was right. He teaches us about what's important.

Okay--that's more than you wanted to know. But, I'm not comfortable being an inspiration and wanted you to know the whole story.

PS--I'm going back to a horse in my avatar. I love seeing who I'm talking to when it's a photo of YOU, but I don't like looking at ME.
