    An painter friend of mine says when you have made 10,000 strokes the same it becomes second nature, I think this is true of quilting as well. Practice, relax and listen to your favorite music while you quilt. If you don't have a long arm practice on small pieces, play, don't worry about the outcome, just be the thread, be the fabric. I think we often get so wrapped up in out thinking we forget to be in the moment.
