    What a deal for him...he gets a 2 for 1...the second quilt using parts of the first. He must have really loved that first one...so nice of you to go through all that for him....you are one special aunt.

    Your nephew should be very pleased with what you've done. Maybe the backing is a color that is his favorite or speaks to him, hence his request. You did a great job!

    It turned out lovely...the pattern looks very similar to one in Jenny's Block magazine that I am shopping for fabric to make... I think it's called Ribbon Star
