    Default star quilt

I finally got this quilt done, I was asked to repair this quilt for my nephew who is special needs. It was a quilt that had photos on it but over time they had peeled off. I did tell him that I couldn't put the photos back on the quilt and he ask if I could just use the back fabric, why i don't know as it was just a solid blue fabric.

I took it apart and was able to save the back and batting as the original quilt was tied. I decided just to make a new top and put it together and FMQ it.. I think the quilting was a little to much and a little to close together, I should have made the loops bigger all over. I think that because the batting was a thick and heavy poly batting it quilted like this. I have never used as thick of a batting with FMQ before, it was a bear to quilt. Just glad it is done and hope he likes it. Thanks for looking

You made a beautiful blue pieced top to go with the old backing. It is hard to understand their reasoning but I think what you pieced he will enjoy this quilt for many years to come.
