    As a matter of functionality, is the minimal stitching going to cause the batting to shift after some washings?
    I have tended to over-quilt because I'm afraid of that.

    I have not had a quilt batting ever shift on me...

    Very nice quilt. It sizzles. I, too, like to use the pre-programed stitches in my machine for quilting. I have a lot of fun experimenting with them. Good job.
