We were talking about this on chat last night. The pattern is Stars and Four Patches; I used the Eleanor Burns Triangle in a Square ruler set, and I have to say they worked really well - I'm happy with the way the star points turned out. I'm debating about the star center fabric, which is why those lonesome squares are off to the side.

I did get woke up by another storm at 3:30 a.m., and we're in for a rough late afternoon/evening tonight. They say we'll have a couple of quiet days after tonight, so we'll see :? I'd better get some sewing done while I can!

I love the block pattern. I maybe would like something different in the star centers too.. The color that is in there looks nice, but I think the flower pattern in the fabric takes away from it a little bit.

It looks wonderful! I love it!!! I have been looking at different versions of that pattern on-line. I love all your colours and fabric. Hmmm, if it was me, this is what i might do. For your centre block, you could do a four-patch, with the green floral, and the solid burgandy. Then in the for corners of the quilt, carry out that theme, by having one long diagonal through the whole quilt square as the burgandy, and the other long diagonal as the green floral, do you see what i mean? I think the way it is looks very nice too, so if you decide to just use one big square in the middle, maybe go for the burgandy...whatever you choose, it is going to look awesome! :)

Your star points are really nice!

Be safe...the weather reports are devastating in your state.

Thanks everyone! I'm liking the block more and more as it sits on the wall; I suspect it's going to morph into a Tennessee Waltz. I just keep looking at it thinking "I can't believe I did that!" Gotta love it when that happens :D

Our weather is finally giving us a break. We're on the western edge of the state (along the Missouri river); the bad flooding is along the Mississippi. We just get to dry out the basement
