    hmmmm ... here's a wild idea for the wild beasties. instead of a traditional rolled, folded and tacked down binding, why not an extra border on front, sewn to another on back, and then clipped like a rag quilt would be. might it not resemble a lion's mane after washing?

    That is a neat quilt for a boy - or anyone! The borders REALLY make it pop! And I think Patrice's idea for a raggedy mane edge is cool!
