I love this thread already! Your first quilt is so pretty, Watson, looking forward to seeing the second one when finished. I'm putting together the components for a quilt for my daughter, will post the before pic once I get a few more of the fabrics.

Hey that is a fun way to show and tell quilts. Your new fabrics remind me of a quilt in the freebies at Red Rooster Fabrics I saw some time ago. Those colors are fabulous together.

Here is one of them called mellow yellow. But there is one more (called anapola) in the newer patterns there you might like better.

Around the twist is in a book called Template Free Quiltmaking by Trudie Hughes. It was published by That Patchwork Place in 1986. Might be available on some of the used book sites or I can send you mine.

So, here's my start for the New Year...
Not sure when I'll get it done, as I'm still dithering over which pattern to go with, but when I do I'll post it in this thread.
If anyone else is starting a new project and would like to play along, please post your fabrics and we will look forward to your flimsy and finish, down the road!

I love the yellow and grays. I want to do something in that but promised myself some completions first. I hate those weak moments when I make myself promises.

I love your finished quilt, and I love your fabrics for your next quilt. What is the name of the pattern for the finished quilt? I really like it.

The name of the finished quilt is Color Me Crayons and you can get a download for it on Craftsy.
