I made this stole as a gift for a gentleman who is studying at Duke Divinity, who spent the summer with us at our 'home' church. His last day with us was this past Sunday. I had made a similar version for the Pastor of our church following a week of vacation bible school where the participants had worn 'banduras'. We had several in an array of colors left and someone had asked on Friday if I could assemble them into a stole to be worn on Sunday. The first was similar to this one, but I prefer this 2nd one because of the color arrangment I chose for the 'back'. It makes me think of Noah's Ark, after 40 days of rain as the clouds begin to part and the sun finally becomes visible. ;) I had a couple weeks notice with this 2nd stole, so I had time to take it to a local shop to have the embroidery added. It was a fun and simple project. I just used the decorative stitches on my machine to 'quilt' it.

Thanks for taking a peek and have a great day!

Thank you for the kind comment.

I didn't notice the footprints in the photo until I posted it here. We walk in the door at our house and off go the shoes. Barefoot is beautiful! ;)

It looks great. He can reverse it. My friend needs hers longer than the normal stole so I have made a few. They are always an honor to make.
