I also use the ziplock bags. I use all the sizes and my favorite is the 2.5 gallon. I use them to hold all the smaller bags for a project so I can just grab and go. Pattern books fit well inside the big bags too. So everything is together. I also use them for completed blocks with a thin piece of cardboard to keep them from getting wrinkled. I cover the cardboard with contact paper. I do have to keep a secret stash of bags hidden in my sewing room so they don't get used in the kitchen by DH.

Fur can you tell me where you found the 2.5 gallon ziplocks? I can only find the 1 gallon sized. I've asked everyone on the board but never an answer, you can private message me if it's a big secret lol

Thank you for your comments, headed to the cutting board now. Here is a link to where u can get all sizes of zip lock bags, but i would never store material in one for too long. I save my grocery bags to store projects in lol and use the money I save on more material this is the link to Amazon, and I do love Amazon, this is where I order bags when I need them. and you can get them over night even. Also I will be glad to help you anyway I can http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_no...20bags%20large

    Jeri,
My Walmart carries them. They are usually on the bottom shelf. I have found them by both zip-lock and hefty. I have seen them in 2 gal and 2.5 gal. Good luck!
    Hugs
