What if you made the wonkiness a feature by appliqueing a few wonky letters that spill over into the bright blue part of the centre panel? Finish it up and donate it as planned. It will be loved and appreciated, I'm sure. Good luck!

I think it turned out really cute. I also agree to go ahead and donate it, kids don't see perfection.

Love working w/ panels but the last few I have done have been the same way and by the time you get done squaring it up you end up w/ a less desirable piece of fabric.

i've had trouble with the panels lately too! they are never squared up and it's really difficult to cover that fact up. i've thought about contacting the company of some of these panels and bitch them out for not making them square!!!
good luck with the quilt! it is cute--donate it to needy kids if all else fails--they won't care and it'd be something they could snuggle with and call their own.

I like it. I think the tilt makes it unique. Don't say anything and everyone think it's was meant to be that way. That's what's great about a quilt...It is what you make it. Call it your "signature"!! for this one. Won't be another one out there like it.

I'd say go with it as it is OR cut off the piano-key border and save it. Cut off the ABC border and pitch it. Sew the piano-key border back on and you're ready to go. OR sew another little plain border where the ABC border went and sew the piano-key border back on. Hope that makes sense.

I think it is fine. The off squareness looks even, so it looks like it should be that way. The center is so cute no little one will notice.

That is so disappointing for you. Use it as an emergency quilt - when someone is wet and cold. They will appreciate it no matter what.
