Didn't I say I'd have half a quilt done over the weekend? Just about other than sewing the two rows together.

I have 30 more white petals to cut out and that's the last of the cutting. 15 blocks to applique and I layed them out for the next row to do. That way, when I'm done with the applique on a row of blocks, I can sew the row onto the rest. By the time I get the last block done, the quilt will be ready to finish.

I was laying in bed last night thinking of quilting designs. Outline each flower and then do a leaf out towards each of the 4 corners. In my mind I was going over it to find the best way to do it all in continuous line, including the sashing. Obviously, I couldn't sleep and I last looked at the clock at 4:30 this morning!! I slept for 2 hours.

This is the quilting design that I though of laying in bed last night. This could all be done in one continuous line.

It would (hopefully) be neater than what I drew with the mouse. :P

I think this quilting design is just right. Anxious to see it finished.

Very nice. Love the applique and the colors are leaning on the southwest flavor.

I found out at work that I am almost maxed out on my accumulated vacation time. I will stop accrueing time off if I don't take some NOW so, taking this week off!!

I can surely get the quilt totally completed this week in time for my granddaughter's b-day next week.

Yes, it's Sweet & Sour from Connecting Threads. I got a 20 FQ set (only using 16 of the color FQs, not the 4 whites) when it was on sale for $20. I ordered 1 yd of purple for the binding and 7 yds of the white for the flowers, sashing, and backing. I cut the backing pieces and what I needed for the top and I have extra to make a pillow case.
