Beautiful quilt. What is Greek Key Blocks; is that the border or the S shaped blocks? Never heard of them, but I am not an accomplished quilter, just a "wannabe". I also like the quilt on top of the stairs, but just got to see a little corner of it. Looked nice; would like to see it too.
Love the colors; are these batiks?

Thank you so much. The Greek key blocks are the ones in the center of the stars. I think the border is known as piano keys. The fabrics are not batiks, just regular cottons, mostly all shades of blue with some green, turquoise, and even purple thrown in, and of course the traditional red cabin centers.

I'll see what I can do about photographing the other quilt. It's from a magazine pattern called Lady of the White House. I would like to add some more quilting to it. When I get around to doing that I will post it. Thanks for your interest.

I can see why it's your favorite log cabin. It's my favorite too. I love the colors you choose. Is the pattern in a book by Judy Martin or an individual patterns. It is just beautiful.

how did you do the greek keys? would like to use them in a border on a quilt for my husband who is Greek. If they are in the book you mentioned, what was the name of the book?

My quilt pattern was modified from Judy Martin's Log Cabin Quilt Book - http://www.amazon.com/Judy-Martins-C...0228539&sr=8-1

Judy Martin gives excellent advice on how to do log cabin blocks, provides a lot of ideas for settings, and has come up with some really nice designs. I really get a lot out of her books. BTW, she does use Greek keys for the border in her design.
