Talking Summer at Mom's - finally gifted.

After a few years in progress, I finally finished and gifted Mom's quilt yesterday. When I got my quilting machine, I knew hers would be the first one on it.

It is a McCalls pattern called 'Summer at Mom's'. She absolutely loved it. My only request to her was for her to use it. She very quickly said....'I will!' Nothing makes a quilter any happier than for someone to use your 'labor of love'.

What a beautiful quilt for your beautiful mom. I just know she loves it & will use it all the time. What a special gift you have given to her on her 80th birthday. Your work is fantastic & I love the border with the vines & also love the label. Thanks for sharing this with us.

You are absolutely right. Nothing makes a quilter any happier than for someone to use your 'labor of love'. I like how you crosshatched the background of the border.
