I love that fabric and I have been looking at it all season in jelly roll form at my LQS but I didn't get time to do it and I am refusing to buy just 'cuz. Now I'm jealous!

Yours looks super, and you pieced it HOW FAST? on your antique? Wow Wow :D :D   :)

Can anybody tell me what size this quilt will be if you use the 1 jelly roll and the 1 white jelly roll? Just would like an idea of how big we are talking - I know size changes with borders but would really like to know how big the basic top will be. Thanks!

I've quilted this one for someone before. I have never tried a tube quilt myself, but it is on my list for sure. Your quilt is very pretty, make sure you post a picture of it when it is quilted!

One more question - do you press these blocks in any particular way to make them intersect when sewing them together? Like press seams to the print or white? Thanks!

Always press away from the white when you can, so you don't see seam allowances through the white fabric.

The questions are no problem. Give the quilt a try!

I've got a few strips sewn together and ready to cut, but I want to verify the size. For the 50" x 66", 8.5" blocks, are you using the 12-1/2" ruler as shown in the video? I'm not sure how this sizing works! Thanks again!

The ruler is just to give you the proper angle to cut the tubes. Size is determined by the width of your strips. Are your 2.5"? That's what I think mine were, or whatever the normal jelly roll width is.

You use the ruler to make the angled cuts, once you have the tube sewn. I had to watch that part of the video at least six times before I felt confident on how to do the cuts! I wish she wouldn't go so fast in the video...

I did the same thing - watched it over and over again, and was afraid to make that first cut! Now I understand the size issue, so I'll have more courage to try it again! Thanks so much - I really appreciate your help!
