    Default A Summer Quilt Completed...

It's taken me a long time to get this made (2 years) while I worked on other projects that were needed first. I'd purchased a lovely charm pack and gathered some other fabrics from my stash. The pattern was a free pattern off the web called, "Garden Gate". It had so many areas for FMQ it drew me in and I had lots of fun choosing designs for those spaces. My DH suggested the circles and I chose less than he had in mind, but he's happy that I used his suggestion. :-) There is no batting in this quilt; therefore you can see the backing through the top.

Really pretty quilt and will be fun to use. I like the combination of piecing and applique-they complement each other beautifully.
