I wanted to share with you a quilt my friend Brenda Yirsa just created. It is called Summer Reflections. This quilt was recreated in textiles from one of her original paintings. I thought it so lovely, I wanted to share it with you:)
Love to hear what you think:)

PS Here is the link to the original painting: http://www.yirsa.com/index2.phtml?p=...allery=Gallery

Holy cow! I looks like a painting! What applique technique was used to create it do you know?

OMG it does look like a painting. Okay---now I can't remember how to make the image larger. That would be handy to really look at this quilt. Love that old yellow ware bowl. And, of course, the flowers. Wonderful.

Brenda has several patterns out. If you google her name Brenda Yirsa quilt patterns you'll be able to see more of her work. My personal favorite pattern she has is the Bird of Paradise.
