    Default Summer Splatter Bag

Earlier this year I started the RBD block challenge but after the second one I didn't really care for the successive blocks, so while waiting to decide how to proceed there, I put together this handbag. I was hoping to find splatter fabric with a little more pizzazz but figured with the red trim it would be good enough. I didn't photo the inside but it just has full width pockets front and back. It's about 10" long, 4" deep, and about 6 1/2" high.

I did decide to modify a couple of the RBD blocks and with the additions of some others, do a quilt sort of like a t-shirt quilt, with the blocks in varying sizes and off set. I'm not quite half way there yet but am marshalling onward with it. Will post a photo of that when completed, but for now, the bag.....

I love everything about your splatter bag. I like the way you did your handles with the red showing on the outer side of the handle. Enjoy your lovely bag...and you may wish to spray a waterproof, stain repellant for fabric to keep it fresh, like Scotch guard. I spray my quilted place mats and it keeps the stains from setting in.

What a cute bag and love the simple but effective quilting on it as well.
