It is very pretty and delicate looking. You do nice work. I have a couple jelly rolls sitting here to use and have yet to find what I want to do with them. Good inspiration.

Thank you everybody... it was kind of a bittersweet finish knowing that Nellie never got to enjoy it. So far i have not convinced Gracie to lay on it - not sure what thats all about? Maybe when im home on the weekend i will put it on the floor for the day and see if she finally investigates it.

Perhaps you might comfort in thinking this is a memorial quilt to express all the sweet things Grace was and still is in your heart. I recently lost my sweet boy named Stretch, a North Carolina mix, so understand and feel your pain.

Thank you so much Lena... i know you understand.

I started the quilt for my precious Nellie in the spring of 2015, but she passed away in October of that year before i could finish the quilt. Four years later, Gracie is still with us but going on 14 years old is failing fast. I wanted to finish Nellies quilt for Gracie. But for the time being Gracie just isnt interested in it. I still mourn Nellie to this day - she just was “almost human”. She was our empty nest dog. It will be a terrible day when Gracie leaves us, but her little body just wont be able to support her for much longer.

I am so sorry for your loss of Stretch. I know how it hurts and your loss is so recent i am sure that sometimes it must be unbearable. I have often said that the unconditional love of a dog is about the closest thing some people are going to get on this earth to the love of God.

Very pretty jelly roll race quilt, your choice of fabrics is very nice. Sorry for your loss, it is hard to go through. But try to think of all the love given to you by her. Sometimes that can be comforting.
