    Can't help you with the quilting part but I just wanted to tell you I love your color/fabric choices. That is absolutely gorgeous for your soon-to-be new baby granddaughter.

    I would quilt around the Sues.

    If you are hand quilting, I think just quilting around the figure (flowers and all) would look great too.

    I do that by machine too.

    your quilt is lovely. I would quilt around her and do echoing.
    What kind of batting did you use? the package will tell you how close you have to quilt.

    you can either do a bit of echo quilting around the Sues or just do a grid in the diamond 'behind" them. either way should work well.
