The pictures aren't that great, but this top is done.
I'm going to take it outside tomorrow, might get better pics

    So, what ya think???

The outer border is actually a burgundy with pink color, the border next to it is a pink floral

    Yea, I know...she ran.
I happened to back up into the vacuum and it made a noise and scared her.

I still have to embroider the name on it.
    But for now, it's done.

Terri, It is very very cute! Sun bonnet sues have kind of special meaning for me, My grandma made me one when I was little ( still have it), my Mom made my 3 girls one each when they were little and I made the sun bonnet Kitty for my grandaughter. the reason I did the kitty is because GD's mother (my oldest) is an ODD child, she isnt overly fond of quilts!!! She didnt like the original but thought the kitties were cute.

I think the girls will be very happy with such a cheerful quilt. I did notice the girl facing the opposite way, that is why I asked if you had both directions for Sue. What a nice way to accent the little girl's name.

The one going the wrong way is actually a little joke with the girls. When ever one gets something and the other doesn't, the one that doesn't get anything always leaves. So, I put the one at the bottom going the wrong way. That one will have the sister's name in little letters, but the OWNER will have their name in big letters at the top.
I know the mom will get a kick out of it and once the girls are older and understand, I'm sure they will too.
Also, that block is done in the color that the other one likes.

I love Sun Bonnet Sue. When I did mine (yonks ago) I had her holding baloons, but I am sure little kitties would do the trick. You cetainly need something for the finished result.
