    love your sues. My mom always talked about the pattern to and I think she had made several quilts like these many years ago, I will one day also.

    That is a very pleasant quilt. I like your use of scraps. I bet she smiles whenever she looks at it.

    Too old for Sues? Nonsense! My sister's DMiL had one she was very fond of. I made one of Sue doing things on a farm for my DGD, but am working on one for me. Annually, I make some sort of small Sue for a friend named Sue, who certainly does not think she is too old for them.

    Somehow, that reminds me of when my mother offered my kite to a family with younger kids, who were, she was told, "too old to fly kites". My father and I were indignant. I continued to fly kites with Dad and my boys until shortly before his death.

    I have that same Sue on a quilt that my mother and sister worked on together
    just shortly before we lost my mother in 1994 it is one of my most treasured quilts.
