    One of prettiest early September sights in my part of the country is a rare field of sunflowers. Your quilt is no exception.

    Thanks for all the nice comments.

    The idea for this quilt came from the book Lickety-Split Quilts by Laurie Bevan. It is a book of big quilt blocks. I cut all the pieces smaller and to use up almost all of the sunflower fabric and to make it bigger I added the 4" squares and dark green between the rows and added bigger and more borders to make it bigger. This is my 10th quilt for this year. Its been done a while. I just finished #11th and am working on a wall hanging, this is the first wall hanging I have made.
