Beautiful. I bought the book a couple years ago, but have never tried it yet. Was it difficult?

I like making things with this technique - especially when I need a break from complex sewing or between projects. Others have said mindless, but I like to use up scraps(and marginal or ugly fabric) and while working of these projects, I am thinking about what I would like to do next! Sometimes if I am working on a project and things aren't going well, I will work on one of these for a short time, that way I don't really feel like I am abandoning my current WIP, in favor of ANOTHER WIP (I have plenty of these). I've made bags, placemats and bowls. Next up will be 'boxes', I just need to figure out how I will do this....
