Well my granddaughter dropped the hint last month that she wanted a throw quilt for her 16th b-day which is in Oct.
(she's the one I made the frog quilt for) She wanted something simple, soft & cuddly.
What could be simpler than a Turning Twenty? And it's quick - which I needed! Soft & cuddly...minkee of course!
Here is the finished quilt. The fabrics I used were Midwest Modern by Amy Butler and a pink Minkee dot for backing.
The label was machine embroidered in a coordinating fabric by Becky Cronin - http://sewthereemb.com/default.aspx
Quilted in an all over swirly pattern by Penny Roberts, using her 3D Threader. http://3dthreader.com/
The thread colors she used in the quilting were, Teal, Lime and Yellow. Really gives the quilt more dimension!
Wish I could be there to give it to her personally, but they live in Texas so Grandma will have to ship it down.

Ah! It's beautiful! I am about to start a turning twenty (because it's fast) for my daughter! I think, after seeing your quilt, that I too will use minkee for the backing! Thanks for the inspiration!
