I love how you used the backs of the t-shirts for the backing!! I am working on one right now and I am going to use your idea! Thanks so much for sharing!

Thank you for the explanation and the 2 videos you used to make the quilt. I watched them and they are very informative. Happy quilting to you!

Very nice quilt and what a lot of memories for him as he looks thru the shirts. Very creative of you to put the back of the shirt on the back of the quilt. Lucky grandson.

This board solved a big problem for me with the suggestion that I use waxed paper to cover the rubbery logos on the quilt while quilting.
I love the Layout on your quilt. Did the waxed paper prevent the needle from making holes in the logos or what was its purpose? I have a t-shirt top done and am struggling with how I can quilt over the rubbery logos and not have the needle poke a hole in the rubbery logo or causing it to snag like a snag. Hope this makes sense.
    Thanks in advance.

Yes! The waxed paper (or tissue paper also will work--according to the response I got on the board http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...t-t287884.html) prevents the rubbery logos from sticking to the presser foot. It worked great!

Thanks, Carol. Did you get any holes in the logos? What kind of needle did you use?
