But...after all that, it turned out great! I don't see any signs of stretched seams, etc. I detest having to tear out my own stitching, since I make things to last.

I said that after my first t-shirt too. But had another request for one and couldn't say no. I found the second one much easier and would do another if asked.

Glad to hear your take on a t-shirt quilt. I had thought about making one...BUT, that thought just bit the dust !!!
I made one denim jeans quilt and said never again but it's kinda like having a baby, at the time you say NO MORE BABIES, but after the pain fades from memory, you try it again. So maybe the jeans quilt will have another chance but for sure no t-shirt ones....LOL By the way, you did a fantastic job.

I think it's gorgeous. You did a wonderful job. I made a couple of t-shirt quilts and am going to do a cancer one for my girlfriend. YEA OHIO!!! We live in FL but moved from Medina County in 2000.

I really like your T-shirt quilt. I made a double sided one for my Grandson. It had 36 T shirts on both sides, cut each one 16'' square. The quilt ended up being 110 X 110. It also was a sports T shirt quilt. Took me a year because I had a time trying to figure out how to finish the 2 sides together along with thick batting. So I just tied it. One side was high school colors and one side was college colors. He was very happy with the results.

Your quilt looks great and I hope your friend appreciates what you went through to make her wish come true. I had a similar experience in a completely different field of endeavor and that's when I learned to say no. Wanting to please people can be painful sometimes :>)
